About the color Copper Rose

A name from 1928

Copper rose is a dull pinkish brown. Maerz and Paul's A Dictionary of Color of 1930 says it was first used as a color name in 1928. The code #996666 comes from 99colors.net, which bases it on that book. The Wikipedia article on copper lists it, with the ISCC-NBS label grayish red.

An easy code to remember
